Cincinnati television and music luminary Nancy James takes the stage of the Otto M. Budig theatre with a flashy program of big band classics. As a regular on the beloved Bob Braun Show and host of Northern Kentucky Magazine, Nancy James has become familiar face in households across the region. The Sound Body Jazz Orchestra provides accompaniment, with special appearances by Colleen Sharp and “Funniest person in Cincinnati,” Michael Flannery, and even the Mad Cap Puppets!

*August 10: Concert in the Park

Bring your family and your lawn chairs to Presiden't Park in Edgewood, Ky for a great concert with the Royal Palm Orchestra.  From 7-9  Absolutely free! This 9-piece band with musicians like Bill Gemmer and Steve Hoskins will delight you with the repetoire they play onstage at Dee Felice's and accompany me as I sing some of our favorites from my years on the Bob Braun Show. I am really looking forward to this!!

  • February 14: Concert with Cincinnati Brass Band                                              Church of the Savior in Blue Ash.  Concert, " A Night at the Movies" begins at 7:00 and is free to the public! Music is all from your favorite Movies!   • April 26: I'm at the Blue Wisp!!  With Sound Body Jazz Orchestra                                                                                                         Music begins at 7:00 PM until 11.  Your favorite swing, jazz, Broadway and standards all performed by this wonderful 17 piece jazz orchestra.  I am thrilled to have been asked to fill in for their vocalist, hope you can join us!

  • Nov. 13: A night of Jazz at Blue Wisp with the Phil DeGreg Trio!             At long last, I-Nancy James-- appear at the Blue Wisp......and of course it is Friday the 13th!! Join me and prove the black cats and broken mirrors wrong....it is a lucky day for me!!  Three sets of great music beginning at 8:30 PM. Hope to see you!!
  • Nov. 14  Emcee The 4th Annual Northern Kentucky Hospice Gala               The Hospice of the Bluegrass 2009 Northern Kentucky Gala, C’est Magnifique.  Famed chef, Jean-Robert de Cavel, and his wife, Annette, will serve as honorary co-chairs of the fall gala. The appropriately French themed evening, C’est Magnifique, will take place on November 14th at the Northern Kentucky Convention Center.   • March 30: Great Sounds of the Big Bands! Performing Big Band Music with the Pat Emmett Orchestra for the Seton-Elder Perfroming Arts Series with two other Elder/Seton favorites: Sean Kelley and Mary Beth Samoya.  3:00 PM at the Seton Performance Hall  3901 Glenway Ave. Tickets $15 to benefit the CMO.  Reservations: Call Mary Sunderhaus 513/ 251-3324.  
  • April 10: It's Kentucky Night at CET Action Auction!   Emcee the 8-9 Hour of the Action Auction on CET accompanied by ICN6 on-air personalities as Auctioneers: Pat Crowley, Don Weber, Charlie Colson, & Sandy Megowen. (Tune in to Insight Cable/Channel 13 or Time Warner/Channel 13)

  • May 10: Emcee of the Dancing for the Stars at Music Hall. Celebrity "Dancers" including Simon Leis, Janelle Walton, Pamela Meyers, Roxanne Qualls are paired with professional dancers to compete in a swing dance competition.  The "winners" are the community's highschool students who participate in the Overture Awards.  Held at Music Hall from 6- ? you can join Honorary Chairperson Dr Odell Owens and Emcees Rockin' Ron Schumacher (WGRR) and dance the night away as well as vote for your favorite star!  Reservations:  621-2728 or www.cincinnatiarts.org
